Comparing Japan’s Disasters

Dorian was a reporter in Japan in 1995 and covered the Kobe earthquake. The more recent earthquake, tsunami and possible nuclear disaster brought back memories and prompted him to compare then vs now for a column on PBS MediaShift (a client of ours) and on New Hampshire Public Radio’s “Word of Mouth” program, where he discussed some of the emotions and added further details.

One section from the MediaShift piece:

The past few days, sitting at home and in my office in New York, it felt like I had more information and contacts at my fingertips than I did then as a reporter in Japan.
